SOMONAUK – A 24-year-old Earlville man crashed his 2011 Dodge Caravan into a parked freight train car about 1:30 p.m. Friday, DeKalb County Sheriff’s police said.

The man was driving west on Route 34 approaching Somonauk Road when his gas pedal became stuck, police said in a news release. The vehicle left the road and struck the rail car.
