DeKalb woman gets 14 years in prison for dealing drugs

SYCAMORE – A DeKalb woman was sentenced to 14 years in prison for dealing drugs in July.

Dacia Hensley, 38, of the 1100 block of West Lincoln Highway in DeKalb, was arrested in July on charges alleging possession and delivery of methadone, court records show. She pleaded guilty to the most serious drug charge.

Hensley also was suspected in the overdose death of a transient man just weeks before the other charges, police said. A month after her arrest, Hensley was charged with drug-induced homicide after a man was found dead in a DeKalb motel with methadone in his system.
