Nominations wanted for senior service award

The Salute to Senior Service program is seeking nominations for adults ages 65 and older who volunteer at least 15 hours a month to their favorite causes.

Nominations will be accepted between Friday and March 31, and state winners will be selected by popular vote at www.SalutetoSeniorService.com, according to a news release. A panel of senior care experts will pick the national Salute to Senior Service honoree from among the state winners.

Program sponsor, Home Instead Inc., will donate $500 to each of the state winner’s favorite nonprofit organizations and $5,000 to the national winner’s favorite charity.
