PREP ROUNDUP: Co-op gymnastics team wins conference title

DeKalb/Sycamore’s girls gymnastics team won the Independent Conference championship last weekend. DeKalb’s score of 143.975 edged Oswego’s 141.975.

Alison Morreale won the all-around competition, taking first in the uneven bars, second in floor exercise and balance beam, and third place in the vault. Anita Bell was fourth in the all-around competition, placing second in the uneven bars.

Cailtin Nottingham won the balance beam and placed fifth in the vault. Meredith Whisenhunt was fifth in the uneven bars while Emily Stuebing also took fifth in the floor exercise.


T’wolves down Pecatonica: Indian Creek defeated Pecatonica, 43-32, on Monday in Shabbona.

Kate Thuestad had a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Samantha Mosley chipped in nine points and 11 rebounds while Josie Diehl had 12 rebounds.
