Waterman burglaries bring probation

SYCAMORE – A North Aurora man was sentenced to probation Thursday for a pair of burglaries committed near Waterman in October.

Michael A. Stanley, 28, of the 100 block of Monroe Street in North Aurora, pleaded guilty to a Class 2 felony burglary charge for taking items Oct. 15 from outbuildings on the 10000 block of Duffy Road and 17000 block of Route 23.

Stanley was sentenced to 36 months of probation. He was credited the 186 days he served in county jail and released. Attorney Peter Gruber, who represented Stanley, said his client was happy with the plea agreement.
