IVVC names January students of the month

Indian Valley Vocational Center of Sandwich, recently announced its January 2013 list of Students of the Month.

This recognition program spotlights students from its 13 onsite programs, and cosmetology and fire science, selected by the program instructors for qualities such as outstanding professional work, enthusiasm, attendance, initiative and demonstrated work ethic. Each IVVC program can select a different student each month for special recognition and an award certificate.

The January 2013 IVVC Students of the Month are:

Auto Body Repair – Sebastian Kokes, Yorkville High School; Automotive Technology – Raymond Packer, Yorkville High School; Building Trades – Cesar Montiel, Plano High School; Computer Technology – Joseph Kimmey, Sandwich High School; Culinary Arts – Amanda Brittingham, Sandwich High School; Drafting & Design – Morgan Haick, Sandwich High School; Early Childhood Development – Gabriellia Benavidez, Yorkville High School; Fire Science – Tyler Ament, Plano High School; Graphic Communications – Grant Brineman, Yorkville High School; Health Occupations, CNA – Kailynn McClesky, Sandwich High School; Health Occupations, Exploring Medical Careers – Monica Dominguez, Newark High School; and Welding & Fabrication – Dakota Bickle, Sandwich High School.

IVVC is owned and operated by 11 school districts: Earlville District 9, Hinckley-Big Rock District 429, Indian Creek District 425, Leland District 1, Newark District 18, Paw Paw District 271, Plano District 88, Sandwich District 430, Serena District 2, Somonauk District 432 and Yorkville District 115.
