DeKalb man gets jail for trespassing
SYCAMORE – A DeKalb man was sentenced Thursday to six months in DeKalb County Jail for an August trespass to a residence.
Jose Salinas, 21, of the 200 block of Gurler Road in DeKalb, pleaded guilty to criminal trespass to a residence after attacking a man Aug. 31 in his ex-girlfriend’s apartment. Salinas had faced a more serious charge of home invasion, but that charge was dropped along with two battery charges.
Salinas was unarmed when he attacked the man, who suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment after the altercation.
