DeKalb police investigate morning robbery

DeKALB – DeKalb police are investigating a robbery that occurred at Check Into Cash, 2350 Sycamore Road late Friday morning.

DeKalb police lieutenant Jason Leverton said they received the call at 11:20 a.m. The suspect is a black man who was wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants, and white shoes at the time. He was described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing between 150 to 160 pounds.

Leverton said the suspect ran away from the store with some cash. He added that he did not know how much was taken.

No one was injured in the robbery and no weapon was displayed, Leverton said.
