DeKalb teen charged with child abduction

DeKALB – An 18-year-old DeKalb man accused of luring a teenage girl into his home for sexual activity remained in DeKalb County Jail on Tuesday.

Justin J. Meyers, of the first block of Tilton Park Drive, was charged with felony child abduction Saturday and had not posted 10 percent of his $15,000 bail by Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

A DeKalb High School student, Meyers allegedly verbally coerced a girl between the ages of 13 and 17 into his home about 4 p.m. Friday, DeKalb police Lt. Jason Leverton said. Meyers told police he suggested the girl come inside to warm up, but the girl told police Meyers told her she had to come inside with him and then spent about 15 minutes trying to convince her to perform sexual acts, Leverton said.
