Ag scholarships offered

Students preparing for careers in agriculture have until March 31 to apply for scholarships through the Murray Wise Associates Foundation.

“The news is full of stories about the challenges faced by students meeting the cost of a quality education, and we had a record number of applicants a year ago. We’re looking forward to identifying the next group of worthy scholars who will benefit from these scholarships,” Murray Wise, chairman and CEO of Murray Wise Associates, said in a news release.

Eligible applicants include high school seniors accepted for enrollment at an accredited college, university or community college in a course of study related to agriculture. Awards are for a minimum of $1,000 and can be renewed yearly for up to four years, provided certain conditions are met.
