PREP ROUNDUP: DeKalb boys bowling takes second at Northern Illinois Big 12 tournament

The DeKalb boys bowling team took second place at the Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference tournament at Streator on Monday. DeKalb finished with 6,897 pins, just 72 behind champion Dixon.

The Barbs were in the lead after five games, but Dixon rallied in the sixth and final game to win the tournament.

Seth Pinne finished with a six-game total of 1,230 and had a single-game high of 226. He finished in fifth place individually. Will Todtz’s 1,196 series was good for ninth place while Sean Mattingly (1,192) took 10th place.
