DeKalb library gets books, technology through grant

DeKALB – The DeKalb Public Library received a dozen Kindles, a computer tablet and several business books through a pair of Illinois State Library grants.

The 12 e-readers were added to the library’s two Kindles and one Nook already in circulation, according a news release.

The e-readers have audio menus and text-to-speech capability helpful for the visually impaired. Local business owners can use the tablet, while the business books are available to all community members, according to the news release.
