The checkout lines likely won't be too long Tuesday, but a few stores in the area will be open during Christmas.

Walgreens and CVS/pharmacy will have their doors open, even though both stores' pharmacies will be closed on Christmas. AccuRate Towing in Sycamore will be available 24 hours for people whose cars need to be towed.

CVS/pharmacy supervisor Ali Urbanc said customers are grateful that it's one of the few stores in the area that is open that day.

“Usually everyone that comes in is like, 'Thank God you guys are open,'” she said.

The post office will deliver packages and mail until noon on Christmas Eve. They will be closed Christmas Day.
