DeKalb announces 
Christmas tree disposal

DeKALB – Residents can place their used Christmas trees in landscape waste containers around town or in the parkway for pick up.

Waste Management will collect trees – with all decorations removed – during the weeks of Dec. 31 and Jan. 7, according to a news release.

Landscape waste containers will be available from Jan. 7 through Jan. 11 at the southeast corner of North Seventh and Oak streets; at Fire Station No. 2, 1154 S. Seventh St.; and the city garden plots near Fire Station No. 3, 950 W. Dresser Road.
