Prep roundup: DeKalb-Sycamore swim co-op remains undefeated

The Barbs overcame a long bus ride and shorter warmup to defeat McHenry, 116-54, in a dual meet on Wednesday.

The co-op had four individual winners. Marc Dubrick won the 200-yard individual medley and the 100 breaststroke, both in career-best times. Daniel Hein took first in the 50 freestyle and 100 free, also career bests, while Ryan Schultz won the 100 backstroke. Jacob Bjork took first in the 200 free, also in a career-best time.

"It was just a great meet," co-op coach Leah Eames said. "We switched up the lineup and in doing so we were still comfortable in coming out with a win."
