Snow likely to arrive Thursday

DeKalb County is under a winter storm watch that will remain in effect from Thursday morning through Thursday evening, according to the National Weather Service.

A powerful winter storm is on its way from the south. The NWS said rain or a rain snow mix will develop Wednesday morning and will change to all snow by Thursday morning. Periods of heavy snow could produce a total of six inches or more. Wind gusts may exceed 45 miles per hour, which will produce blowing and drifting snow. White out conditions are possible.
