Indian Creek boys hoops finishes with 21 assists on 24 baskets in LTC victory
SHABBONA – On Indian Creek’s first possession of Friday’s game against Hiawatha, Noah Holm used his dribble to pull two defenders to him, then calmly hit an open Jaron Todd in the corner who quickly fired a 3-pointer that hit nothing but the bottom of the net.
This theme continued through much of the Timberwolves’ 65-38 Little Ten Conference victory.
Todd netted a game-high 25 points, and went 7 of 10 from beyond the arc. Holm and fellow guard Kyle Lieving handed out six and five assists respectively to help Indian Creek to its seventh consecutive triumph. Big man Garrison Govig owned the paint for Indian Creek by scoring 14 points and grabbing six boards, while Garrett Post chipped in 10 assists. The Hawks were lead by Ed Canchola’s nine-point, six-rebound effort, while Alex Flores added eight points.
