No injuries in DeKalb apartment fire

DeKALB – No one was injured in a fire at a University Village apartment complex fire about 10:50 a.m. Wednesday.

DeKalb Fire Chief Eric Hicks said they were investigating the cause of the fire. At 11:10 a.m., the fire had been put out, but firefighters were still checking the building for smoke. The complex sits in the 800 block of Crane Drive east of Annie Glidden Road and north of Lucinda Avenue.

Police closed Crane Drive as emergency crews worked.
