DeKalb man wins $200,000 in lottery
DeKALB – Jacob Skala checked his winning lottery ticket at the local Jewel Food Store in February but waited 10 months to claim the $200,000 prize.
“When I realized I had won, I just slowly walked out and went home,” Skala said in a news release.
He put the winning ticket in a bank safety deposit box and waited until Dec. 7 – about two months shy of the one-year deadline – to claim his prize in Rockford.
