Some rabies tag fees to increase in county

SYCAMORE – Rabies tag fees for pets that are not spayed or neutered will increase next month, a DeKalb County Health Department news release states.

The cost for altered pets will remain $17 for a one-year rabies tag and $42 for a three-year tag, according to the news release.

But the cost for unaltered pets will increase to $34 for a one-year tag and $84 for a three-year tag.

The increase will go into effect Jan. 1.
