KishHealth seeking award nominations

DeKALB – KishHealth System is seeking nominations for the 2013 acclaimed physician awards.

The program recognizes medical staff members at Kish Hospital and Valley West Hospital who “exemplify outstanding service to patients, staff and the community,” according to a news release. Nomination forms are available at kishhospital.org and valleywest.org.

Nominations are due Jan. 15, and awards will be presented Feb. 22 at the Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center at Northern Illinois University.

This year, Maria Dana Sutkus, internist and pediatrician in Sandwich, won Outstanding Service to Patients Award. Catherine Ruetten, a family medicine physician in Sycamore, earned the Promotion of Quality Award, and Jennifer and Douglas Pacaccio, podiatrists in Sycamore and Yorkville, won of the Humanitarian/Community Service Award.
