Thomas N. Gearhart Jr. of Midwest Orthopaedic Institute has become a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives, the certification and standard-setting division of MGMA-ACMPE.

Fellowship in the ACMPE is the highest distinction in the medical group practice management profession. This accomplishment was formally recognized in October at the ACMPE Luncheon and Fellows Convocation, held in conjunction with the MGMA 2012 Annual Conference in San Antonio.

To achieve Fellowship, Gearhart first earned the Certified Medical Practice Executive designation by passing rigorous essay and objective examinations that assess knowledge of the broad scope of medical practice management, as outlined in the Body of Knowledge for Medical Practice Management.
