Thanks for making Veterans Day event a success

To the Editor:

I wanted to personally express my thanks to the businesses who donated to Collins Dental Group P.C.’s recent Veterans Day event. Our practice was able to provide free dental care to nearly 100 veterans and their immediate families, donating more than $23,000 in services that day.

The businesses that generously donated goods and/or services include: Banner Up Signs, Diamond Dental Laboratory, Dunkin’ Donuts, Henry Schein Dental, Hy-Vee, Jimmy Johns, Kar-Fre Flowers, Keller Dental Laboratory, Oral Arts Dental Laboratory, Ottawa Dental Laboratory, Patterson Dental, Phillips/Sonicare, Portillo’s Restaurant, Proctor and Gamble, Resource Bank and Sunstar Dental.

Without the support of these donors – and the entire staff of Collins Dental Group, who donated their time – we would not have been able to call the event an unqualified success.

The commitment that our military veterans and their families make is greatly appreciated and Collins Dental Group P.C. is glad we could provide our services to those who have sacrificed for the safety and liberty of our great country.

We look forward to repeating the event next year and hope that we have an even bigger turnout. On behalf of our entire staff, I would like to say “thank you” to everyone involved.

Dennis J. Collins, D.D.S. Sycamore
