Comptroller’s personal belongings at auction
DIXON – U.S. Marshals are again auctioning items belonging to former Dixon comptroller Rita Crundwell, who admitted to stealing $53 million from the northern Illinois city.
Items from Crundwell’s Florida vacation home went up for bidding from 4 p.m. Wednesday through 5 p.m. Friday. More items from her home and ranch in Dixon will be auctioned from 4 p.m. today through 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Telegraph in Dixon reports that the items include home furnishings, artwork, appliances and electronics.
