Shabbona church hosts Blackwood Quartet
Shabbona United Church of Christ invites the community to an evening of Southern gospel Christmas music featuring the Blackwood Quartet at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
The concert will feature songs from the Nashville group’s latest album as well as traditional Christmas carols. The congregation will be invited to sing along.
The Blackwoods were formed in 1934. In 1954, they appeared on Arthur Godfrey’s Talent Scouts on CBS. They won first place and received a recording contract with RCA.
