New county officials to take office Monday

SYCAMORE – County residents will have a chance to meet their new and returning representatives during a meet-and-greet with DeKalb County Board members Monday.

The 20th session of the DeKalb County Board will be sworn in Monday at 6 p.m. at the county administration building at 200 N. Main St. Residents will be able to meet new County Board members including Tracy Jones, R-Shabbona; Mark Pietrowski Jr., D-Cortland; Anthony Cvek, R-Sycamore; Misty Haji-Sheikh, D-DeKalb; Marc Johnson, D-DeKalb; Frank O’Barski, D-DeKalb; and John Frieders, R-Sandwich.

Earlier in the day, officials in the 23rd Judicial Circuit will be sworn in. At 1 p.m. in courtroom 300 of the DeKalb County Courthouse, DeKalb County officials such as new State’s Attorney Richard Schmack and Circuit Clerk Maureen Josh will be sworn in.
