County clerk adds Saturday hours

SYCAMORE – Starting Saturday, you can apply for a marriage license or register to vote at the DeKalb County Clerk’s office from 9 a.m. to noon.

County Clerk John Acardo will offer his office’s most popular services from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays in December and adjust the hours, if necessary, based on public response in January. The office had been open on weekdays only, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

“This is a trial run,” Acardo said. “Those are the heavy services we have during the week. We’re opening it up with those specific services.”
