Kish Concert Band sets ‘Christmas Joy’

The Greater Kishwaukee Area Concert Band will present it’s annual Christmas Concert, “Christmas Joy,” at 3 p.m. Dec. 9 in the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall.

Millie Sulaver is sponsoring this concert in memory of her sister, Joan Sulaver. The concert is free and handicapped accessible.

The concert will begin with “Adeste Fideles,” “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” “Three Christmas Songs” and “Skaters’ Waltz.”

Hannah Wood will be the guest soloist for “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” She also will lead the audience in a “Christmas Sing-A-Long.” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and “Do You Hear What I Hear?” will close out the first part of the program.

After intermission, the concert will include “Sleigh Ride,” “Chanukah Is Here,” “Jingo Jango,” “Jingle Bells Fantasy” and “White Christmas.” “Christmas Favorites,” “The Christmas Song” and “Silent Night” will close the program.
