SYCAMORE – A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Peace and Freed roads Tuesday morning caused a 30-minute closure of Peace Road to clear debris.

Sgt. Andy Sullivan with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department said a collision occurred at 7:28 a.m. Tuesday after a driver turned south onto Peace Road from Freed Road when another vehicle headed northbound on Peace Road struck the turning driver's vehicle. Both drivers were taken to Kishwaukee Community Hospital with minor injuries and Becky J. Haselton, 59, of Sycamore, was charged with failure to yield at an intersection.

Sullivan said the amount of debris from the crash caused a temporary road closure as tow trucks cleared the area. The county sheriff's department was assisted by Sycamore Fire and Police departments.
