IVVC names students of the month

Indian Valley Vocational Center of Sandwich, recently announced its November 2012 list of Students of the Month.

This recognition program spotlights students from its 13 onsite programs, and cosmetology and fire science, selected by the program instructors for qualities such as outstanding professional work, enthusiasm, attendance, initiative and demonstrated work ethic. Each IVVC program can select a different student each month for special recognition and an award certificate.

The November 2012 IVVC Students of the Month are:

Auto Body Repair – Christian Annel, Yorkville High School; Automotive Technology – Raymond Chapen, Sandwich High School; Building Trades – Tim Tausch, Indian Creek High School; Computer Technology – Ariel Garcia, Sandwich High School; Cosmetology – Rachel Dempsey, Plano High School; Culinary Arts – Andrea Rosendahl, Sandwich High School; Drafting & Design – Hannah Herzog, Somonauk High School; Early Childhood Development – Joseph Scheller, Hinckley-Big Rock High School; Fire Science – Dara Weatherford, Hinckley-Big Rock High School; Graphic Communications – Abby Mitchell, Sandwich High School; Health Occupations, CNA – Kylie Wackerlin, Plano High School; Health Occupations, Exploring Medical Careers – Mycaleen Ravnikar, Sandwich High School; Law Enforcement – Paul Schultz, Sandwich High School; and Welding & Fabrication – Jacob Bjorneby, Indian Creek High School.

IVVC is owned and operated by 11 school districts: Earlville District 9, Hinckley-Big Rock District 429, Indian Creek District 425, Leland District 1, Newark District 18, Paw Paw District 271, Plano District 88, Sandwich District 430, Serena District 2, Somonauk District 432 and Yorkville District 115.
