G-K alum named Scholar Athlete
Haley Fischer of Kingston has been named a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
Fischer, a women’s cross country runner at Ashford University, is one of 317 student-athletes from around the nation to be named on the yearly award list.
In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
Fischer is a 2010 graduate of Genoa-Kingston High School.
