Celebrate the Season in Genoa
The Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to “Celebrate the Season” from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 7 in downtown Genoa.
Celebrate The Season will offer many holiday activities, including $1 carriage rides, a live nativity, a live petting zoo and warming fires at the downtown parking lot. Face painting will be held at American Family Insurance, letters to Santa at Beth Fowler School of Dance provided by Resource Bank, storytelling by Mrs. Claus, create your own reindeer food and receive free popcorn at Heartland Bank (formerly Citizens First National Bank). The event also will include Christmas caroling, music, charity booths, ice skating, vendors with free hot chocolate, cookies, coffee and much more. Look for the schedule of events poster at local merchants and newspapers.
The Jingle Bell Parade will begin at 6 p.m. and will feature Santa and Mrs. Claus coming to town with our very own G-K Fire Department. After the parade, join us for the lighting of the community Christmas tree next to Heartland Bank. Mayor Todd Walker will welcome visitors and, with the help of Santa, announce this year’s winners of the children’s coloring contest.
