"It took us a little bit to get going offensively," G-K coach Corey Jenkins said. "We're still not real solid defensively. We've got to get better as far as switching all over the floor and communicating and talking with each other. But we'll get there."

Spartans 5th at Strombom:
Sycamore beat St. Francis De Sales, 60-48, at the Strombom Tournament, taking fifth place.

T'Wolves take 3rd: Indian Creek finished in third at the Westminster Christian Tournament with a 51-41 win over the hosts. Garrison Govig 12 points to lead the Timberwolves, while Garrett Post added 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Indian Creek is now 3-1.

“The bowlers exceeded our team goal of scoring 900 per game (180 average). The six team scores ranged from 891 – 945,” Barbs coach Bill Holland said. “Our scoring was quite balanced – with 2790 in the morning and 2724 in the afternoon, and we improved 64 total pins from last year. All of these factors favor the Barbs as a state top-20 team."
