The Art Box opens December exhibit
Dale Osterle, Chicago artist and longtime resident of DeKalb, will show original hand-painted, limited-edition intaglio prints at The Art Box, 308 E. Lincoln Highway, DeKalb, from Dec. 1 through 28. The opening is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The exhibition is titled “... miles to go,” inspired by a poem by Robert Frost.
Osterle is originally from Boston, Mass., an environment of great beauty with rolling hills, huge and very old beautiful trees, woods and winding paths. She always knew that she was going to be an artist.
Her education in art began with formal training at RISD, in Providence, R.I., where she earned a bachelor of fine arts degree; two years at Southern Connecticut State College for a teaching certificate; more than 20 years at Northern Illinois University with master printmaker David Driesbach; several summers studying in Florence, Italy, and in the Loire Valley, France; and two artist residencies at Ragdale in Illinois. All provided exceptional training and background for what was to follow.
