Motorcylist in fair condition after crash

ROCKFORD – A Naperville man was in fair condition Friday morning at Rockford Memorial Hospital after crashing his motorcycle Thursday.

Paul Guinand, 64, was traveling west on Route 30 west of University Road about 11:31 a.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle and skidded into a ditch on the north side of Route 30. The accident happened east of Shabbona.

A helicopter took Guinand to Rockford Memorial Hospital. His 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle was towed from the ditch.
