Bikers raise funds for Feed’em Soup

On Nov. 7, a small group of Feed’em Soup volunteers headed to Hink’s Bar and Grill in Sycamore. In the neighborhood establishment well-known as a meeting place for local bikers, the volunteers enjoyed drinks and food while thanking owners Mike and Lynn Henke for their support.

The Henkes are motorcycle enthusiasts. Years ago, they decided that the best way to combine their passions for the open road and their community was to sponsor the Annual Bike Run, in which patrons donate $10 each to ride in a group to Ottawa, Ill. This year, Feed’em Soup was the fortunate recipient of $2,050 raised by the run.
