Kingston police use grant for video camera

KINGSTON – Kingston police will soon have a second video camera to record traffic stops thanks to a grant from the DeKalb County Community Foundation.

The foundation presented Kingston police Chief Gerald Taft with a $3,000 check Nov. 8 to purchase the video system, according to a news release. The grant means that both of the department's squad cars have this video technology. Taft purchased the first system using budgeted funds, the release said.

The second video system has been ordered and is expected to arrive within a few weeks.
