IDES offices closed Thursday and Friday

The Illinois Department of Employment Security service centers will be closed Thursday and Friday and some payments may be delayed because of Thanksgiving.

Regular office hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays will start again Monday, according to a news release. When the offices are closed, clients can still use ides.illinois.gov to file for first-time unemployment benefits, certify for benefits and switch their payments to direct deposit.

Some benefit payments may be delayed because Thursday is a federal banking holiday.
