Armstrong: County marketing and tourism promoted
The new DeKalb County Visitor Guide will be available soon.
The DeKalb County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau marketing committee has been working on the 2013 edition for the past month. It will be published in mid-January. We are anxious to unveil the new guide. It will be available at the DCCVB office, hotels, attractions, municipalities, chambers and government offices throughout DeKalb County.
This year, for the first time, 10,000 of the guides will be delivered to Northern Illinois University for use during orientation to help recruit both students and staff, as well as keeping them all informed about what there is to see and do in DeKalb County. The guides also will be available at the Belvidere, DeKalb, Des Plaines and O’Hare tollway oasis kiosks, as well as 12 Tourist Information Centers throughout Illinois.
