The 2012-13 boys basketball season starts today and a number of local teams have high expectations.

Hinckley-Big Rock returns all of its starters from last season's team that went to the sectional finals while Genoa-Kingston all brings back an experienced group. Sycamore will be looking to improve in coach Andrew Stacy's second season as head coach and Indian Creek should be competitive in the Little Ten Conference.
