Leaf collection in
DeKalb to end Nov. 30

DeKALB – The city of DeKalb will continue its leaf collection through Nov. 30.

Crews from the city’s Public Works Department will collect leaves from Monday to Wednesday, and again from Nov. 26 to Nov. 30, according to a department news release. Leaf collection will not occur Thursday or Friday because of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Waste Management also will continue to collect yard waste during regularly scheduled garbage days through Nov. 30. Residents still can leave their landscape waste at dumpsters at the southeast corner of 7th and Oak streets, Fire Station No. 2 at 1154 S. 7th St., and the City Garden plots at 950 W. Dresser Road, through Nov. 30.
