Raked leaves a wonderful gift

To the Editor:

On Nov. 10, we received a wonderful gift. Northern Illinois University students came and raked all our leaves.

They were polite, friendly and helpful. It meant so very much to us.

We’re both in our 80s. My husband taught at NIU for 33 years. We keep in touch with former students who have become lifelong friends.

Flowers to Northern Illinois University and Alpha Delta Pi.

At 8:45 a.m. Nov. 10, 11 members of their sorority showed up to rake my leaves. They did them just as I asked and more!
