Police: Sycamore man had 10 pounds of marijuana

SYCAMORE - A 23-year-old Sycamore man who police said received 10 pound of marijuana during a covert operation appeared in DeKalb County Court this week.

Joseph T. Mikan, of the 900 block of Penny Lane, allegedly received the medical-grade marijuana from Oregon after police found it during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Bureau County, according to a news release from the North Central Narcotics Task Force.

The task force searched the home about 8:15 p.m. Nov. 9, and found seven marijuana plants, the 10 pounds of marijuana, $14,109 in cash, and two firearms, the news release stated.
