Dojo Dynamics 
competes in local tourney

Dojo Dynamics of Sandwich sent 15 participants into competition last weekend. The tournament was the last of the USSSA Academy of Martial Arts Circuit. 

Each competitor can compete in up to four different divisions depending on their belt rankings. Those categories are Kata (forms), Synchronized Kata, Weapons and Sparring. Each competitor competes in different divisions separated by their age and belt levels. 

The results of the tournament were:

• Nikki Strawn, 7, third place Kata Novice, first place Sparring Novice

• Drew Despain, 8, first place Kata Novice

• Kyle Davenport, 9, second place Kata Novice, third place Sparring Novice, third place Synchronized Kata,

• Zack Bonneau, 9, second place Kata Intermediate, second place Weapons Intermediate, second place Sparring Intermediate, third place Synchronized Kata

• Jake Horak, 10, fourth place Kata Novice, second place Sparring Novice

• Sierra Kemper, 10, first place Kata Novice, fourth place Sparring Novice

• Donald Knighton, 11, fourth place Kata Novice, third place Sparring Novice

• Madison Tyra, 11, third place Kata Novice, fourth place Sparring Novice, second place Synchronized Kata

• Kendra Miles, 11, third place Kata Intermediate, second place Weapons Intermediate, second place Sparring Intermediate, first place Synchronized Kata

• Krysta Watts, 12, first place Kata Intermediate, third place Sparring Intermediate, first place Synchronized Kata

• MacKenzie Mullins, 13, second place Sparring Novice, third place Sparring Novice

• Chris Caldwell, 22, first place Kata Intermediate, second place Weapons Intermediate, second place Sparring Intermediate

• Chris Johnson, 29, first place Kata Special Division

• Dan Corcoran, 23, second place Kata Advanced, first place Sparring Advanced, third place Synchronized Kata

• Nick Spies, 23, first place Kata Advanced, first place Weapons Advanced, second place Sparring Advanced, third place Synchronized Kata
