NIU giving away football tickets today at dorm open house

DeKALB - The first 500 people to attend an open house for a new Northern Illinois University resident hall Wednesday will receive a free ticket to the NIU-Toledo football game that night.

They also will receive a $5 food voucher to use at the New Residence Hall complex or a Huskie Stadium concession stand, according to an NIU news release. Those who donate cash or a can of food will receive a voucher for a $10 ticket for a reserved seat at the west end of the stadium for Wednesday's game.

“Alumni and community members will be able to see the new community center as well as tour the pods where the rooms are located,” Connie Storey, complex coordinator of New Residence Hall, said in the news release. “Community advisers and student volunteers will be giving the tours of the hall and sharing their input.”
