Man charged with check fraud in DeKalb County, multiple states
SYCAMORE – A man charged with passing bad checks in Sycamore three years ago was being held at the DeKalb County Jail on Tuesday on $100,000 bond.
Eric R. Castronovo, 35, of the 6300 block of South Mulford Road in Cherry Valley, made his first court appearance Tuesday in DeKalb County.
In October 2009, Castronovo was charged with manufacturing and passing phony cashier’s checks at two local businesses, Sycamore police Lt. Darrell Johnson said.
