Man charged with 
cashing fake checks

SYCAMORE – A man accused of cashing fake checks in September has been charged with two felony counts of forgery.

Thomas P. Murray, 39, of the 1500 block of West National Avenue in Milwaukee, was charged with cashing two counterfeit checks Sept. 19.

According to Sycamore police, Murray was picked up in Milwaukee by two other men and taken to National Bank &Trust locations in Sycamore and DeKalb to cash the checks, which were purportedly issued by the DeKalb County Circuit Clerk’s Office.
