Hinckley FUMC dinner and auction a success

More than 150 members and friends of the Hinckley First United Methodist Church gathered at Timber Creek Inn & Suites in Sandwich on Nov. 2 to celebrate God’s love, their memories, and joy as a congregation and to raise money to reduce their building debt.

The auction committee and the church family were blessed once again as they prepared for this annual event. Church members, friends, and area businesses donated approximately 150 unique items for the silent and live auction.

The congregation feels especially blessed by the generosity of anonymous members who donated dinner tickets for the committee to give away and by members of the congregation who purchased tables of eight and invited friends to attend the event. There were also numerous sponsors who covered the cost many of the behind-the-scenes expenses for the evening.
