H-BR girls basketball wins its season opener
The Hinckley-Big Rock girls basketball team opened the 2012-13 season with a dominating 45-19 victory against Sandwich on Monday night in the Tim Humes Breakout Tournament at Somonauk.
H-BR was led by sophomore Jacqueline Madden with 14 points and junior Lauren Paver’s 11 points. Senior Abbie Tosch chipped in with 10 for the Royals (1-0).
The Royals led 32-10 at halftime and will play Aurora Central Catholic at 5:30 p.m. today.
