SYCAMORE – On the final day of operation for the Genoa Browns’ County Market location, owner Dan Brown announced Family Dollar would be coming to his Sycamore location.

The Family Dollar location will set up its business in about 9,000 square feet of existing space in the Sycamore Browns’ County Market. Brown said an interior wall would be built so the stores would not directly connect. An additional outdoor entrance would be used to enter Family Dollar.

He said he hopes both stores are able to attract more customers by operating in close proximity. He compared it to fast-food restaurants that operate next to each other.
